Service Description

Service Description:
DEBRA is the national charity supporting those directly affected by, and working with, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a potentially fatal skin condition that causes constant pain due to unstoppable internal and external blistering.

DEBRA offers practical, financial and emotional support to, and advocates for the EB Community; partners with the NHS to provide specialist care and internationally-recognised clinical care guidelines; and works with researchers investigating symptom alleviation, effective treatments and ultimately a cure for this debilitating condition. A charity registered in England and Wales (1084958) and Scotland (SC039654).

Local Offer (SEND):
If you have EB or a member of your family has EB  you can turn to us. We can provide you with practical and emotional support with special educational needs (SEN), disability, health, financial help and advice, holidays at low cost, and information on lots of different aspects of living with EB. DEBRA's EB Community Support team is on hand to offer you crucial information and support to tackle a wide range of social issues such as benefits, finance, housing, education, employment and bereavement. The service works with children, young people, adults, families and individuals. The DEBRA EB Community Support Manager for Doncaster is Zainib Hussain - our office service is English language, but Zainib speaks several languages, listed below, and will be happy to help. Please contact the DEBRA office to find out more.
