| Service Description: | Healthwatch is a champion for people who use health and social care services in Doncaster. They listen to any concerns that you might have about local services and speak out on your behalf by making sure your experience is brought to the attention of the people in charge who can make a difference.
Healthwatch Doncaster will:
• Collect your experiences / stories of health and social care services to help improve them and shape future service provision
• Signpost / help point you to the service that is right for you
By becoming a member of your local healthwatch, you will receive a month e-bulletin or quarterly newsletter keeping you up to date with local information and what’s happening with your healthwatch.
You can become an integral part of your healthwatch by becoming a Healthwatch Ambassador (active volunteer). You will be able to take part in consultations, help at events and inform the people of Doncaster about their local healthwatch, take part in ‘enter and view’ assessments of hospitals, care homes or you can support the team by helping out in the office. |
