'Key Persons' ensure named staff are responsible for meeting the needs of children. Spacious well equipped rooms are available for babies, toddler and pre-school. Meals and snacks are prepared in the Nurseries kitchen for healthy eating. The Nursery has a 5 star food hygiene rating.
Play forms the basis of learning and includes:
Gluing, sticking, painting, modelling, playing musical instruments.
Building with large and small equipment.
Dressing up and pretend play.
Developing find motor skills.
Learning to problem solve and find out about the world around them.
Staff plan for children's development on a weekly basis. They keep developmental records on all children to ensure planning meets the needs of all children and that they make good progress.
The proprietors are qualified teachers with a wealth of experience in education and bringing up four children of their own.
Nursery staff have 'Enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure' and NVQ Level 3. Two qualified teachers work within the nursery.
