About The Setting
Provider Information:From the first day at Nursery, pupils embark on a life-long journey of learning. Our aim is to inspire children from a very early age to develop both academically and as individuals.
We use positive motivation at all times and our tailored programme of education for each child ensures that they can achieve their full potential. Hill House Nursery is led by a specialist Early Years teacher with lessons including Computing and Music, ensuring our children get the best start to their school life. They go on to excel academically, as shown in our impressive Reception Profile Results. Our Nursery children also have many opportunities beyond the classroom, including yoga, dance lessons, balance bikes and sport with specialist providers. The atmosphere this creates ensures that every pupil can flourish and grow.
Our well-equipped, bright and airy facilities, together with a team of enthusiastic, qualified, dedicated experts, ensure that your child gets off to a wonderful start. Pupils are encouraged and nurtured within a caring ethos to use their creativity and imagination to learn about the world and their surroundings through a balance of structured learning opportunities and play. As part of the whole school community, Nursery children have access to whole school facilities such as playgrounds, theatre and sports’ hall.
Our very own Forest School aims to provide unique, hands on outdoor experiences for our Early Years pupils in a safe and stimulating environment, encouraging enriched and independent learning. Hill House Forest School allows pupils to explore and experience the natural world through repeated practical involvement over an extended period of time, the natural resources of the woodland and the children’s own interest combine to stimulate imaginative, creative and investigative activity. Led by specially trained staff, Forest School activities include den building, bug hunting, woodland craft, campfires, clay work and tool use.
In our latest full ISI inspection, the Early Years Foundation Stage was graded as Outstanding, with inspectors saying ‘The setting is outstanding, and highly successful in achieving its aim ‘to provide high quality education in a congenial, family based community’. The nursery operates in school term time but there is a holiday scheme catering for children from 3 years during the summer, Christmas and Easter holidays and the 2 week October holiday.
Our staff have undertaken various training including, paediatric first aid training, safeguarding training, and food hygiene.
We offer tax-free childcare and 15/30 hours Government funded sessions.
